Mooloolaba Beach is described by Sunshine Coast Council as a premier swimming beach, popular for body boarding and surfing, and it is patrolled year round; patrol times are on the Beachsafe website. Accessible beach matting is available on weekends during the volunteer patrol season. The beach is a dog-free zone. Restaurants and takeaway food outlets are along the Esplanade, and the Mooloolaba Foreshore Park playground, northern rocks and spit rock wall are close by. Free to visit; always swim between the flags.
