Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club

Last updated October 2026

Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club on the Esplanade runs Junior Activities (Nippers) for children aged 5 to 13, building confidence and teaching beach safety and surf awareness. Sessions are every Sunday from mid-September to early March, 8am to 10.30am (Under 6 and 7 finish at 9.30am); the 2026-2027 season started on 27 September 2026 with a short Christmas break. As nippers move up the age groups they learn wading, running, swimming, board paddling and lifesaving skills, working towards resuscitation and first aid. Children must be at least 5 by 30 September and complete a preliminary skills evaluation; Nippers is not a learn-to-swim program. The club also runs Starfish Nippers for children and young adults with a disability aged 6 and above. Memberships are closed for 2026-2027; a new family expression of interest form for 2027-28 goes up on the website in July 2027.

Facts checked against the venue's own website on 23 October 2026.
