Caloundra Surf School runs learn-to-surf lessons on the Sunshine Coast for children and adults of all ages and abilities. Lessons usually last 90 minutes and cover sun and surf safety, the ocean and waves, surfing technique and surf rules. Lesson times change day to day with the tide and wind, and the coach confirms the time and meeting place at least 24 hours ahead; lessons run on weekdays and weekends. As of October 2026 a group lesson costs $50 per person. Private lessons, subject to availability, are $190 for one person, $100 each for two, and $90 each for three or more. The board, rash shirt or wetsuit are supplied; bring a hat, towel and sunscreen. Meeting points include the car park at the beach end of Robe Street, Currimundi, Dicky Beach and Happy Valley at Bulcock Beach. Book online or call 0413 381 010.
