Maroochy Surf School

Maroochy Surf School runs surf lessons daily at Maroochydore Beach and also at Mooloolaba Beach. Its NRMA Insurance SurfGroms program teaches children aged 5 to 12 core surfing skills in the ocean along with ocean awareness and beach safety. Programs run all year: 3-day holiday programs of 1.5-hour lessons (1-hour lessons in the winter holidays) and 7-week term programs of 1-hour lessons. Surfboard, wetsuit and rash shirt are included, and every registered Surf Grom receives a $50 Rip Curl voucher and a logbook. Other options include teen beginner lessons for ages 13 to 17, kids and teen intermediate lessons for ages 7 to 17, private lessons from age 5 and kids' surf parties. Play On vouchers are accepted for term programs only.
