Sunshine Beach

Last updated October 2026

Sunshine Beach is one of Noosa Shire's patrolled beaches. Noosa Council contracts Surf Life Saving Queensland to provide lifeguards at its patrolled beaches and asks swimmers to keep to these areas. Council notes that the eastern beaches, including this one, are exposed to more powerful surf than sheltered Noosa Main Beach, so swim only in the patrolled area and check the Beachsafe app for patrol times and conditions. Sunshine Beach Surf Life Saving Club is on the beach. The northern end (North Sunshine Beach) is an off-leash dog area. Within a short walk (OpenStreetMap): Sunshine Beach Surf Lifesaving Club (restaurant, about 70 m) and Embassy XO (restaurant, about 180 m), plus 3 more places to eat.
