Coolum Beach is a family friendly patrolled beach with parks and a boardwalk. Tickle Park, next to the Coolum surf club, has play and picnic facilities, and the lifeguard tower is at beach access point 77. Coolum North Beach and Coolum Main Beach are both patrolled; patrol times are on the Beachsafe website. Accessible beach matting is available on weekends during the volunteer patrol season. Dogs may be off-leash only on the northern section from beach access 72 to 68 and are not allowed in the dunes or nearby reserves. Free to visit; swim between the flags.
