Golden Beach

Last updated October 2026

Golden Beach stretches for more than four kilometres along the Pumicestone Passage from Bulcock Beach to the mouth of Bells Creek. Council says it is sheltered from the ocean swell by Bribie Island, and the calm passage is a popular fishing, boating and windsurfing spot. There are picnic areas, playgrounds, public toilets and boat ramps along the foreshore. Council lists Golden Beach among its unpatrolled beaches, so there are no regular lifeguard patrols; check conditions before swimming. Within a short walk (OpenStreetMap): Copper Spoon (restaurant, about 80 m), Cafe Sisily (cafe, about 130 m), The Local Grocer IGA Golden Beach (convenience store, about 170 m) and The Moorings Cafe & Restaurant (cafe, about 290 m), plus 4 more places to eat.
