The Kings Beach Ocean Pool (also called the Sir Francis Nicklin Memorial Pool) sits on the rocks at the northern end of Kings Beach, Caloundra. It has a 25 m sea water pool with lifeguard supervision during summer, a wading area, disabled access and a children's spray park (water fountain). The pool is open all year, unlocked at 4am and locked at 9pm; the fountain runs 8am to 5pm. It is cleaned every Monday and Thursday from 3.30pm. Council notes that ocean conditions affect the pool's water quality because it is linked to the sea.
