Greenmount Beach

Last updated October 2026

Greenmount Beach is the south-eastern end of Coolangatta Beach, beside the headland; the City of Gold Coast describes a wide, sheltered beach. Lifeguards patrol Tower 2 on Marine Parade, near Greenmount Beach Surf Club, between 8am and 5pm every day all year round. Swim between the red and yellow flags. The surrounding parklands have toilets, barbecues, tables, shade structures and beach showers, and the Oceanway runs beside the beach and around the headland. There is limited parking at the surf club and on-street parking nearby. Dogs are not allowed within 200 metres of the flags. Within a short walk (OpenStreetMap) are The Coffee Club (about 220 m), Baskin-Robbins (about 230 m), EzyMart, a convenience store (about 220 m) and Chempro, a chemist (about 370 m), plus several other places to eat.
