Kirra Point Surf School

Kirra Point Surf School teaches surfing at Kirra Beach, Coolangatta, from its Learn to Surf van in the Roughton Park car park. Its Salty Groms kids' program runs for 4 to 8 weeks, with one 1.5-hour lesson a week at the same time and day, in small groups of up to 5 students per instructor, for ages 5 to 15 (as a guide), from beginner to intermediate. A Salty Groms Holiday Program runs in the school holidays, and kids' group lessons have 1 instructor to 4 students. For children aged 5 to 7 who are not experienced swimmers or are scared of the ocean, the school strongly recommends a parent in the water. The van is open Monday to Sunday, 6am to 5pm.
