Surf life saving club at Miami Beach with a Nippers (junior activities) program for Under 6 to Under 14 age groups (members aged 5 to 13, age set at 30 September). Nippers gain confidence by passing tests of swimming, bodyboarding, beach sprints and dolphin diving. On Sundays sign-on is at 8am, each age group lines up at its flag on the beach and moves through rotational activities of 20 minutes; parents must stay on the beach. A BBQ lunch is sold afterwards. Extra weekday training is offered at no extra fee. New members join as a family, with at least one parent or guardian joining. Family membership (2 parents and 1 nipper) is $285; Play On! vouchers are accepted.
