HOTA Parklands swimming lagoon

Last updated October 2026

The HOTA Parklands swimming lagoon is behind the City's Council Chambers off Bundall Road and offers a sheltered swimming spot with a beach and recreation areas beside it. Toilets and showers, picnic areas with barbecues and shaded seating are nearby. Do not dive or jump from the pedestrian bridge. The City of Gold Coast says its swimming enclosures are popular with children and people who prefer calm natural swimming water, but they are not patrolled by lifeguards: supervise children at all times, keep clear of the nets, and take care as depth varies with the tide. Dogs and fishing are not permitted in the enclosure. Avoid swimming for 3 days after heavy rain. Within a short walk (OpenStreetMap) are The Lean Chef Kitchen (about 340 m), Espresso Bonsai (about 350 m) and Tribeca NYC, a restaurant (about 350 m), plus several other places to eat.
