Surf life saving club on Sorrento Back Beach, established in 1998, with a new clubhouse in its final build stages for 2026-27. Sorrento Nippers is a junior development program for children 7 to 13 years of age that teaches surf and beach safety through games and activities, and teaches skills on the back beach with actual surf. The 2026/2027 season runs on Sunday mornings from 22 November 2026 (8:45am U11 to U13, 9:45am U8 to U10); the first two sessions are at St Paul's Front Beach before moving to Sorrento Back Beach in December. Places are limited to 30 per age group and registrations close 25 October 2026. Pricing is $330 for a family membership plus one Nipper, or $410 for two or more, with concession rates.
