Last updated October 2026

Anglesea Surf Life Saving Club runs the TLC Healthcare Anglesea Summer Nipper Program for the Under 7 to Under 13 age groups (children aged 6 to 13 on 1 October who meet minimum swim standards). The intensive surf education program is held over the two weeks after Christmas and covers water and beach hazards, safe practices in the ocean, basic surf swimming and board skills, sustainability of the ocean environment, introductory competition skills and basic resuscitation and first aid. It finishes with an intra-club competition. In 2026/27 sessions start on 27 December. Parents and children must be club members before registering, and each nipper completes a preliminary skills evaluation. The club also runs Starfish Nippers and an Under 14 Surf Rescue Certificate program.

Facts checked against the venue's own website on 23 October 2026.
