Searoad Ferries (Sorrento - Queenscliff)

Car and passenger ferry across the southern end of Port Phillip Bay between Sorrento and Queenscliff. The crossing takes about 40-45 minutes and the ferries run every day of the year, including Christmas Day. From the outdoor decks you may spot the bay's resident bottlenose dolphins, seals and gannets, plus whales in winter, and pass Pope's Eye and the black lighthouse at Queenscliff. Each ferry has a children's playground and a cafe on board, and free kids' activities run on set days in the school holidays. Bikes travel free with a foot passenger fare.
