Patrolled beach north of Cairns with a stinger net Nov-May, a fenced playground, free barbecues and a foreshore path.

Palm Cove is a beach on Williams Esplanade, about 25 km north of Cairns, managed by Cairns Regional Council. The council says it is patrolled by surf lifesavers between 9am and 5pm year round and has a stinger net enclosure during marine stinger season, November to May; swim inside the enclosure in those months. The shady foreshore has free electric barbecues, bench seats, a sealed walking and cycling path and a fenced children's playground. The Palm Cove markets are held on the foreshore on the first Sunday of the month from April to December. A beach wheelchair is available at Palm Cove; lifeguards can show you to it and open the storage shed, but cannot assist users, so bring a support person.
