Last updated October 2026

Miami Beach sits between a rocky headland to the south and Nobby Beach to the north. Lifeguards patrol Tower 21 (Hythe Street, near Miami Beach Surf Life Saving Club) between 8am and 5pm every day all year round, and Tower 22 (Santa Monica Road) between 8am and 5pm on weekends between November and April and during school holidays. Swim between the red and yellow flags. A narrow beachfront park has toilets, barbecues, tables, shade structures, playgrounds and beach showers, and council provides beach volleyball nets. The beach has a dog prohibited area, and dogs are not allowed within 200 metres of the flags. Within a short walk (OpenStreetMap) is Piccolo Espresso (about 310 m).
