Copacabana Beach
Last updated October 2026
Copacabana Beach is a patrolled surf beach. NSW Beachwatch says it attracts surfers, bodyboarders and swimmers and has a whale viewing platform for spotting migrating humpback whales. Council lifeguards are on duty 9am-5pm Monday to Friday and Surf Life Saving volunteers patrol on weekends and public holidays during the patrol season, which runs from Saturday 26 September 2026 until Sunday 25 April 2027. Swim between the red and yellow flags and supervise children at all times. Free beach wheelchairs can be booked here during patrol season. NSW Beachwatch lists a cafe or kiosk, parking, showers and toilets here.
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 22 October 2026.
