Corrimal Surf Life Saving Club

Volunteer surf life saving club at Corrimal Beach, north of Wollongong. Its Nippers program is open to kids from 5 to 13 years old and focuses on growing confidence, knowledge and skills in the beach environment. Through the SLSA Junior Development Program, kids learn lifesaving and sport skills in structured lessons, and all young nippers ('Sandpipers') take part in the Surf Education Program on Sunday mornings, with content set by age group. Every junior completes a preliminary swim evaluation each season at Corrimal heated pool or Towradgi ocean pool before starting. Nippers can also compete, and parents are encouraged to help as age managers or helpers.
