Dee Why Surf Life Saving Club

Dee Why SLSC, on Dee Why Beach since 1912, runs Nippers for U6 to U14 age groups (children must turn 5 by 30 September). Sessions are on Sunday mornings: nippers gather in front of the club at 8:45am and beach events start at 9am, finishing around 10:30-11am. The 2026-27 season begins Sunday 18 October 2026 and runs to a presentation day in March. Regular events include beach sprints and relays, beach flags, swimming, board paddling and wading, with all equipment supplied; older groups are introduced to board and tube rescue skills and basic first aid. Nippers complete a preliminary skills evaluation, and at least one parent joins as a Nipper Parent and stays during the program. Registration is through the SLS Hub.
