Garie Surf Life Saving Club

Last updated October 2026

Volunteer surf life saving club at Garie Beach in Royal National Park, south of Sydney. Its Nippers junior activities program introduces children aged 5 to 14 to surf life saving: nippers first learn surf awareness and safety, then progress through lessons in wading, running, ocean swimming, board paddling and lifesaving skills, plus basic resuscitation and first aid. The program is delivered by the club's operations and education team around SLSA's Junior Development Program. A child may join as soon as they turn five. Age managers are trained club members with Working with Children Checks; at least one parent or caregiver per family is expected to be a financial member. To join, families complete the club's form and email it to the club; Active Kids vouchers are accepted.

Facts checked against the venue's own website on 23 October 2026.
