The Coast Track is a 27 km one-way walk between Bundeena and Otford in Royal National Park. It is rated Grade 4 and is suggested as a 2-day walk with an overnight stay at Garie Beach campground, which must be booked in advance. NPWS says it can also be walked in shorter sections by starting at Bundeena, Wattamolla, Garie Beach, Garawarra Farm or Otford and returning the same way after a few kilometres. The northern section from Bundeena to Garie Beach is 17 km and takes at least 7 hours. NPWS notes lookouts, swimming spots and whale watching from May to October. Bring drinking water, a hat, sturdy shoes, sunscreen and suitable clothing. The park is open 7am to 8.30pm, and as of October 2026 vehicle entry costs $12 per day. Check NPWS alerts before going, as parts of the track can be closed.
