Parramatta Valley Cycleway (Rydalmere)

Section of the Parramatta Valley Cycleway, a shared off-road riverside path, in Rydalmere in Sydney's west.

The Rydalmere bike path is part of the Parramatta Valley Cycleway, a shared walking and cycling path along the Parramatta River managed by City of Parramatta Council. Council's Bike Plan lists the Subiaco Creek link in Rydalmere as one of the cycleway's former missing links. With the Escarpment Boardwalk, opened in 2021 as the final link, council says there are over 20km of off-road paths on both sides of the river, connecting Parramatta Park to Melrose Park. Council says the paths wind through open parks, local playgrounds and sporting fields. Council's cycling page offers downloadable bike maps, a printed cycling map on request, and points riders to the Transport for NSW Cycleway Finder for planning trips. The council pages do not list opening hours or fees for the path.
