Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club

Volunteer surf life saving club on the Cronulla beachfront, patrolling Cronulla Beach since 1907. Its junior program, Cronulla Crays Nippers, is for children aged 5 to 14 and runs on Sunday mornings from 11 October 2026. Nippers do swimming, board paddling, shallow wading, beach running and flags, and learn about the ocean and surf environment through to CPR, basic first aid and rescue, aiming for the Surf Rescue Certificate at age 13. Sessions run in time slots: Under 6-7 from 8.30am to 9.30am (alternating between Gunnamatta Bay and Cronulla Beach, with a Learn to Swim program at Cronulla Swim School), Under 8-10 from 8am to 9.30am and Under 11-14 from 10am to 11.30am at Cronulla. A parent or guardian must stay on the beach, and one parent joins the club.
