Gunnamatta Park Tidal Baths

Last updated October 2026

Gunnamatta Park Tidal Baths are large netted swimming baths with a sandy beach beside Gunnamatta Park on Gunnamatta Bay. Sutherland Shire Council says that because the baths are on the bay there are no waves, which the council says suits children and lap swimmers. Public toilets, change rooms and showers are in the Gunnamatta Pavilion and there is on-street parking along Nicholson Parade. A section of Mobi-mat is set up permanently at the baths during the school holidays. The baths are not patrolled. Stingrays may be in the shallows to the left of the baths, so shuffle your feet when wading. Dogs are prohibited on the beach and in the baths. Within a short walk are HC (about 310 m) and Nudo (about 380 m).

Facts checked against the venue's own website on 22 October 2026.
