Wanda Surf Life Saving Club

Last updated October 2026

Surf life saving club at Wanda Beach, at the northern end of the Cronulla beaches, established in 1946. Wanda Nippers (Wanda JAG), running since 1964, introduces children aged 5 to 14 to surf lifesaving through the Surf Life Saving Australia Junior Development Program. Kids swim, board paddle, beach sprint, dolphin-dive, spot rips and learn about the surf environment, with CPR, first aid and rescue skills added in older age groups. Nippers runs on Sunday mornings, with occasional Saturday afternoon twilight sessions. Parents stay with their child and one parent per family joins the club. Wanda Red Fins is an inclusive Nippers program running alongside on Sunday mornings for children with disability or other challenges, with modified activities, beach wheelchairs and 1:1 safety support. Registration for 2026-27 is open.

Facts checked against the venue's own website on 22 October 2026.
