Last updated October 2026

Surf life saving club at Warriewood Beach on Sydney's Northern Beaches, known as the family club. Its Nippers program is for children aged 5 to 13 and teaches water safety, surf awareness and lifesaving techniques through a structured Surf Life Saving Australia programme. Nippers is usually held on Sunday mornings from 10am to 11.30am, followed by a barbecue, with beach events such as flags and sprints and, for ages 9 and over, supervised swimming and rescue board skills when conditions permit. The club's 2026-27 season post says Nippers starts Sunday 18 October at 10am. A White Cap program offers beach activities for younger siblings, and there is a Cadet programme for 15-17 year olds. One parent must register and stay on the beach.
