Carrum Surf Life Saving Club
Last updated October 2026
Volunteer surf life saving club on the Carrum foreshore, opposite Carrum railway station, founded in the late 1930s. The club runs a volunteer beach patrol from November to Easter each season and teaches surf lifesaving, first aid and resuscitation. Its Nippers program is a junior activity program that introduces children aged 5 to 13 to surf lifesaving, developing surf skills and confidence. Membership categories include a Junior Activities Member (Nippers, 5-13 years) and family membership, with online registration; members 18 and over need a Working with Children Check. The club's website does not list current-season Nippers days or fees.
