Edithvale Life Saving Club

Volunteer-run life saving club at Edithvale, founded in 1919, with a new clubhouse built in 2019. Its Nippers program for children aged 5-13 runs on Sundays at 10am; the 2026-27 season starts on 29 November, with orientation on 22 November and a Christmas break from 22 December to 17 January. Nippers learn water safety and skills in beach and board racing; it is not a swimming lesson program. Children must have turned 5, and under-6s must be accompanied by a parent. Competition is open from age 7. Family membership includes Nippers for all children, and kids can practise on club boards.
