Go Ride A Wave runs surf lessons at Ocean Grove main beach from a trailer near the Surf Life Saving Club. For children it offers SurfGroms, a learn-to-surf program for 6 to 12 year olds that teaches surf skills through group-based games along with ocean awareness and beach safety, including surf survival and rescue techniques and basic first aid. SurfGroms runs as 4-day intensive programs in the school holidays (Monday to Thursday) or as term programs, usually on Saturdays or Sundays for 4 weeks. There are also kids-only school holiday sessions for ages 5 to 14. Wetsuits and soft beginner surfboards are included.
