Showgrounds on Mulgrave Rd, Parramatta Park, hosting the Cairns Show each July (2027: 14-16 July) plus markets, Cairns BMX and all-ages events.

Cairns Showgrounds, on the corner of Severin Street and Mulgrave Road, is home to the annual Cairns Show. The 2026 Show ran 15 to 17 July and the 2027 Show is scheduled for Wednesday 14 to Friday 16 July 2027. Gates open at 9am and close at about 9pm after nightly fireworks; there are Sideshow Alley rides, an Animal Nursery and a Kids Korner section, and a Feed and Change Room for parents is open 10am to 8pm. 2026 tickets were $30 adult, $16 child (5 to under 14), free under 5 and $75 for a pre-sold family pass. Outside show week the grounds host groups including Cairns BMX, Girl Guides and Freshwater Scouts, and events such as Handcraft Markets (8 November 2026, gold coin donation) and Monster Madness, an all-ages family event on 21 November 2026.
