Kuranda Heritage Markets

Last updated October 2026

Covered rainforest market in Kuranda village with craft and souvenir stalls, water dragons, Koala Gardens and Birdworld.

The Kuranda Heritage Markets are a covered, open-plan market in Kuranda village, set in rainforest and running for more than 20 years. Stalls sell locally made souvenirs, arts and crafts, handcrafted Aboriginal items, jewellery, gemstones, clothing, organic produce and spices, and Frogs Restaurant serves meals, coffee and cake. Water dragons wander through the market, and it is home to two paid wildlife attractions, Kuranda Koala Gardens and Birdworld Kuranda. Because the market is all-weather covered it can be visited in the rain. Open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 3:30pm. Prices are not published on its website. Kuranda can be reached by car, Skyrail or the Kuranda Scenic Railway. As of October 2026.

Facts checked against the venue's own website on 17 October 2026.
