Port Douglas Markets

Last updated October 2026

Council-run Sunday market by the Coral Sea in Port Douglas with over 150 stalls of crafts, art, food and fresh produce.

The Port Douglas Markets are a Sunday market run by Douglas Shire Council in Market Park beside the St Marys By The Sea chapel, overlooking the Coral Sea. More than 150 stalls sell handmade goods, Aboriginal artwork, locally produced food and seasonal fresh produce. The markets run every Sunday from 8am to 1:30pm, except Christmas Day and ANZAC Day, and may close in severe weather, with updates on the council's Facebook page. There is a water refill station at the Macrossan Street entry and two bubblers inside, so bring a water bottle. Walkways are grass and gravel with uneven surfaces, and the council says assistance and caution may be required. Parking is next to Market Park, on Macrossan Street, at the Crystalbrook marina and at the Rex Smeal Park car park, and can be limited; the council encourages shuttles. First aid and lost property are at the coordinator's tent near the St Marys bell tower. Entry prices are not published on the council website. As of October 2026.

Facts checked against the venue's own website on 17 October 2026.
