Barlow Park is Cairns Regional Council's main football and athletics facility at 251 to 269 Severin Street, Parramatta Park. It has an 8-lane IAAF-standard athletics track with a grassed field, long jump pits, two rectangular fields for rugby league, rugby union and soccer, discus and shot put circles, a 1,700-seat grandstand, food outlets, amenities and 500 off-street car parks. It is the home of Cairns Athletics, Far North Queensland Rugby League and the Northern Pride Rugby League Club. Council allows free casual public use of the main ground Monday to Friday from 4pm to 7pm unless it is booked for events or activities. Groups, school carnivals and workshops can book the venue through council's online application form; enquiries go to [email protected] or (07) 4044 3645. Council does not publish children's programs for the venue; junior athletics and rugby league are run by the resident clubs.
