Toowoon Bay Surf Life Saving Club

Last updated October 2026

Volunteer surf life saving club at Toowoon Bay on the Central Coast. Each Sunday from October to March, Nippers meet under age managers with parent help. Children can join from age five and start with surf awareness and safety through the Surf Ed program, then progress to board paddling, surfing, swimming, sprinting, wading and games depending on age and ability. Club competition starts in Under 8s, leading to Central Coast Branch carnivals. Under 13s can work towards the Surf Rescue Certificate. In wet weather groups work on the sand or indoors on first aid and lifesaving skills. Stingray Nippers is a modified program for children with additional needs, with beach wheelchairs available. A parent associate must join with each nipper and stay on the beach during sessions.

Facts checked against the venue's own website on 23 October 2026.
