Toowoon Bay is a patrolled beach between The Entrance and Shelly Beach. NSW Beachwatch lists snorkelling, stand-up paddleboarding, fishing, swimming and surfing here. Council says Toowoon Bay has permanent beach matting all year because of its protected location. Council lifeguards are on duty 9am-5pm Monday to Friday and Surf Life Saving volunteers patrol on weekends and public holidays during the patrol season, which runs from Saturday 26 September 2026 until Sunday 25 April 2027. Swim between the red and yellow flags and supervise children at all times. Free beach wheelchairs can be booked here during patrol season.
