Thirroul Pool, on Bath Street, is a 50 m saltwater pool with a toddlers' pool, next to Thirroul Beach and a park, with a beachfront kiosk nearby. Toilets and change rooms are on site. Council lifeguards supervise Wollongong's three saltwater pools and entry is free. Hours: 6am-6pm daily from 26 Sep to 30 Oct 2026, 6am-7pm daily from 31 Oct 2026 to 19 Mar 2027 (closed Christmas Day), 6am-6pm daily from 20 Mar to 24 Apr 2027 (closed Good Friday), 6am-1pm Saturday to Thursday from 25 Apr to 31 May 2027; closed for winter from June until 26 Sep. Please leave 15 minutes before closing; the pool may close at short notice due to water or weather conditions, including lightning. Within a short walk are Flanagan's Fish Cafe takeaway (about 70 m), Bergies Fish Cafe takeaway (about 370 m), IGA supermarket (about 380 m) and Thirroul Crust Pizza takeaway (about 380 m) (OpenStreetMap).
