South Narrabeen Beach

Last updated October 2026

South Narrabeen is the southern part of the long beach between Collaroy and North Narrabeen; the council lists fair swimming conditions with a strong shore break at times. South Narrabeen SLSC volunteers patrol on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 26 September 2026 until late April; council lifeguards do not patrol on weekdays. The council page notes lifeguards do not patrol this beach Monday to Friday, so on weekdays use nearby Collaroy or North Narrabeen. Parking is free with a council permit or pay-and-display, with designated disabled spaces. Within a short walk (OpenStreetMap): Cabana Beach Kiosk (restaurant, about 10 m) and Cherry Blossom Store Narrabeen (clothing shop, about 70 m).
