Terrigal Beach is a patrolled beach at the southern end of a 2.8 km stretch of sand, with cafes and restaurants overlooking it. NSW Beachwatch says a southern rock pool gives families another spot to explore. Council lifeguards are on duty 9am-5pm Monday to Friday and Surf Life Saving volunteers patrol on weekends and public holidays during the patrol season, which runs from Saturday 26 September 2026 until Sunday 25 April 2027. Swim between the red and yellow flags and supervise children at all times. Beach matting is installed here each patrol season and free beach wheelchairs can be booked.
