Southern Swim School is a learn-to-swim school at 5 Yalgar Road, Kirrawee. Classes are grouped by skill rather than age across five streams: Foundations, Independence, Technique, Development and Squads. Foundations starts with Squids for babies from 4 months to 18 months with a parent in the water, then Starfish for toddlers from 15 to 30 months, and the school does not use flotation aids. Water safety skills are built into every level. As of October 2026, one lesson a week is $28 per lesson, two lessons a week are $47.60 per week, and private lessons are $77.50. Lessons run year-round in monthly blocks charged pro rata, with closures over Christmas and New Year and two weeks in July. New students aged 3 and over who swim independently must complete a free assessment before enrolling. Business hours are 6.30am to 7pm weekdays and 7am to 12.30pm weekends.
