Daily Cairns day trip to an outer Great Barrier Reef pontoon with snorkelling, an underwater observatory and glass bottom boat.

Reef Magic runs daily day trips from the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal to its own activity pontoon at Moore Reef on the outer Great Barrier Reef, about 90 minutes away by fast catamaran, with 5 hours at the reef. The pontoon has a sheltered coral lagoon for snorkelling, a children's swimming area and an infants' swimming enclosure, an underwater observatory, and included glass bottom boat and semi-submersible tours, so non-swimmers can see the coral too. Snorkel gear, flotation vests and wetsuits or lycra suits come in child sizes, and a marine biology talk, morning and afternoon tea and a buffet lunch are included. Scuba diving (minimum age 12), helmet diving and guided snorkel tours cost extra. Prices start from $325 adult (15+), $160 child (4-14) and $810 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children, based on off-peak rates; infants 0-3 are free. Boarding from 8.15am, departs 9am, back about 5pm. Adults must supervise children under 16. As of October 2026.
