Learn-to-swim and squad program at St Augustine's College pool, Severin St, Parramatta Park, for children from 4.5 years; from $17 per week for one lesson.

Saints Swimming Cairns runs its swim program at the St Augustine's College pool on Severin Street (corner of Scott Street), Parramatta Park. Its ability-based Learn to Swim progression starts for children from 4.5 years: Blue Learn to Swim is for ages 4 to 6.5 and Navy for 6.5 and up, moving through the Marlin, Octopus and Dolphin squads to learn all four strokes. Mini Squads for primary-aged children who have learnt four strokes teach dives, turns and race skills, and there are competitive, high school fitness and adult squads plus holiday training. Lessons run in the afternoon and are billed by the Cairns Catholic primary school term. Fees are $17 per week for one lesson, $32 for two and $46 for three, with a 20% discount for a third child (as of October 2026). Children aged 4 to 6 enrol online; older children book an assessment first.
