Sunlover Reef Cruises runs day trips from the Reef Fleet Terminal, 1 Spence Street, Cairns, to its Moore Reef pontoon on the outer Great Barrier Reef, to Fitzroy Island, and a combined Reef & Island day. At the pontoon families can snorkel, use the waterslide, ride the semi-submersible and glass bottom boat and visit the underwater observatory, which need no swimming. Buffet lunch and lycra suits are included on the Moore Reef tour, which departs at 10.15am and returns about 5.30pm. As of October 2026 Moore Reef costs $317 adult, $177 child (4-15 years) and $816 for 2 adults and 2 children; Reef & Island in a Day is $347 adult and $195 child. Children 3 and under travel free but must be included in the booking. Introductory and Seawalker helmet dives have a minimum age of 12 and cost extra. Book online or on 1800 810 512.
