Silverswift is a 29-metre high-speed catamaran that runs daily snorkel and dive trips from the Reef Fleet Terminal, 1 Spence Street, Cairns, to three outer Great Barrier Reef sites at Flynn, Pellowe, Milln and/or Thetford Reefs. It departs at 8:30am and returns at 4:30pm, with about 5 hours at the reef. The standard snorkelling and cruise fare is $308 for adults and $288 for children aged 4 to 14, plus a fuel surcharge of $10 per adult and $5 per child, as of October 2026. The fare includes snorkel gear, a snorkel brief at each site, a guided snorkel tour at the third site, lifeguard supervision, morning and afternoon tea and a buffet lunch. Children of any age are welcome with an adult, and the operator recommends they be confident in the water. Introductory and certified scuba dives cost extra, and the minimum age for diving is 12.
