Picnic Creek circuit, Kondalilla National Park
Last updated October 2026
An easy 1.7 km circuit (allow 45 minutes to 1 hour, Grade 2) in Kondalilla National Park in the Blackall Range. It crosses Picnic Creek and passes through tall eucalypt forest with patches of wet sclerophyll forest, with valley views from a lookout point. The walk starts from a large grassed picnic area, reached by a 50 m downhill walk with steps from the car park, which has toilets, picnic tables, barbecues and shelter sheds. Fitter families can continue on the 4.7 km Kondalilla Falls circuit (Grade 3, over 300 stairs) to rock pools and the base of the falls. There is no vehicle camping in the park.
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 23 October 2026.
