Glass House Mountains lookout and lookout track, Beerburrum West State Forest
Last updated October 2026
A Queensland Parks day-use area on Glass House-Woodford Road, 2.7 km from Old Gympie Road, with panoramic views over the Glass House Mountains, Caloundra, Maroochydore, Moreton Island and Brisbane. Signs at the stone-wall lookout name the peaks, and the fire observation tower has displays on the area's history and culture. The Glass House Mountains lookout track is an 800 m walk (allow 45 minutes, Grade 3) that leaves one side of the day-use area through scribbly gum forest and a wet gully and returns on the other side; look for birds, reptiles and wildflowers. Facilities are picnic tables (some sheltered) and non-flush toilets; toilets, picnic tables, the lower lookout and the tower display area are wheelchair accessible with assistance. All roads are sealed.
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 23 October 2026.
