Mona Vale Rockpool, off Surfview Road at the northern end of the beach, has two pools: one suitable for toddlers and a larger 30 m pool for bigger kids and adults. No lifeguard service is listed for the pool itself; council lifeguards patrol the adjoining surf beach daily 9am-5pm from the last weekend of September to the last weekend of April. The pool closes regularly for cleaning and refilling, so check the council cleaning roster before you go. Change rooms and toilets are available, and Apex Park opposite has electric BBQs, picnic tables, a shaded children's play area and a children's bike path; parking is pay-and-display. Within a short walk (OpenStreetMap) is Bright Side (cafe, about 270 m).
