Jumrum Creek walk, Jumrum Creek Conservation Park
Last updated October 2026
Jumrum Creek Conservation Park, inside Kuranda village 27 km north-west of Cairns, has a short walk on boardwalks and graded paths through vine-entwined rainforest to a small creek. The Jumrum Creek walk is 750 m one way (Grade 2, allow about 30 minutes). Start from the small car parking bay on Barang Street or the paved path near the Kuranda Visitor Information Centre; the track goes down to the creek crossing and climbs gently to Barron Falls Road. Walk back the same way or join the signposted Kuranda village circuit, which continues along the Jungle and River walks to the railway station. Dogs are allowed on a leash. Cafes nearby include Nevermind Cafe and Here's Good (each about 150 m) and Cafe Azur (about 170 m).
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 23 October 2026.
