Congwong Beach
Last updated October 2026
Congwong Beach is a calm bay facing Botany Bay, inside Kamay Botany Bay National Park and managed by the National Parks and Wildlife Service, according to Randwick Council. It is reached from the La Perouse Loop Road, with public toilets, shops and other facilities nearby. The beach is not patrolled by lifeguards or lifesavers. Dogs, alcohol and glass bottles are not permitted. For a family beach, choose Congwong rather than neighbouring Little Congwong, which council says has occasional reports of nudist activity. Within a short walk are Bare Grill and Cafe (about 240 m), La Perouse Thai (restaurant, about 250 m), Driftwood on the bay (about 250 m) and Giovanni La Pizza (restaurant, about 270 m).
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 22 October 2026.
