Broadbeach

Last updated October 2026

Broadbeach is the beach just north of Kurrawa and, according to the City of Gold Coast, typically a quieter beach. Council lifeguards patrol three locations: Tower 30 (Chelsea Avenue) and Tower 31 (Wharf Road) between 8am and 5pm every day all year round, and Tower 29 (Australia Avenue) between 8am and 5pm every day from September to April and during school holidays. Swim between the red and yellow flags. The beachfront park has toilets, barbecues, tables, shade structures, playgrounds and beach showers, and the Oceanway runs through it. Council warns to avoid steep and unstable sand scarps. Dogs are not allowed within 200 metres of the flags. Within a short walk (OpenStreetMap) are RQAS (about 130 m), Metro Coffee (about 340 m), Spar, a convenience store (about 340 m) and Lolas, a restaurant (about 230 m).
